Benefits of Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT)

  • Microneedling works by creating micro-injuries on the skin's surface, triggering your body’s natural healing response. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, the key proteins responsible for skin firmness, structure, and resilience. Over time, skin becomes plumper, smoother, and more youthful

  • By promoting skin regeneration, microneedling helps to break down scar tissue and encourages the growth of healthy new cells. This process effectively softens acne scars, reduces fine lines, and smooths out textural irregularities like stretch marks (especially new red striae)

  • Microneedling enhances overall skin health by increasing blood flow and boosting cell turnover. This results in more even skin tone, refined pores, and improved skin texture. Skin looks firmer, tighter, and naturally radiant

  • Unlike some laser or chemical treatments, microneedling is non-ablative and doesn’t involve heat or harsh acids. It’s generally safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types—including darker skin tones—and can be customized for sensitive or delicate areas

  • Microneedling offers significant skin improvements with only minor side effects such as redness or mild swelling for 1–3 days. Most clients resume normal activities within 24 hours, making it a perfect lunchtime procedure with visible benefits

  • Radiofrequency (RF) Microneedling combines collagen induction with thermal energy, which penetrates deeper layers of skin. This added stimulation improves skin tightening and accelerates scar remodeling—ideal for moderate to severe scarring and skin laxity

  • Our HA Skin Booster Add-On delivers a potent cocktail of hyaluronic acid, peptides, glutathione, co-enzymes, and multivitamins directly into the skin. This nourishes and revitalizes dull, dehydrated skin, enhances healing, and leaves you glowing faster

Possible Risks and Considerations

  • It’s common to experience redness, warmth, and slight swelling immediately after treatment—similar to mild sunburn. This usually subsides within 24 to 72 hours, depending on skin sensitivity and the depth of treatment

  • As your skin begins to heal and regenerate, you may notice dry patches, mild flaking, or a tight feeling. This is part of the natural skin renewal process and typically resolves within a few days

  • Especially with deeper treatments like RF Microneedling or stretch mark therapy, tiny pinprick bleeding or light bruising may occur. This is temporary and part of the skin’s response to stimulation

  • Following treatment, your skin becomes more sensitive to UV exposure. Direct sunlight should be avoided for at least 7–10 days, and a broad-spectrum SPF 50 should be applied daily to prevent pigmentation or irritation

  • Although rare, infections or breakouts can occur if post-care guidelines aren’t followed, or if the skin is exposed to unclean tools, makeup, or excessive sweating in the first 24–48 hours. It’s crucial to keep the skin clean and avoid touching your face

  • Microneedling is not recommended for those with:

    • Active acne or cystic breakouts

    • Active cold sores or herpes

    • Open wounds or sunburn

    • Certain chronic skin conditions (e.g. eczema, psoriasis)
Always disclose your medical history during consultation

  • Most clients tolerate microneedling well, especially with topical numbing cream applied beforehand. However, some may feel light discomfort or pressure, particularly in more sensitive areas like around the eyes or lips

  • In rare cases—especially in darker skin tones—microneedling can trigger temporary post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) if not properly protected from sun exposure or heat. This is why proper SPF use and aftercare are essential
